One mouse to rule them all…

This little piece of software has saved me time and desktop space. Have you ever wanted to use one mouse with 2 different computers? Teleport is a preference pane that lets you use a single mouse and keyboard to control several Macs. Simply reach an edge of your screen, and your mouse teleports to your nearby Mac, which also becomes controlled by your keyboard. The pasteboard can be synchronized, and you can even drag and drop files between your Macs. You can also customize you screen layout.

This makes it easy and helpful if you have computers with different screen sizes like a iMac and a Macbook. There are a whole slew of additional options so check it out for yourself, its free.

In OS X you can see the date by clicking on the time in the menu bar. But I find myself doing this so much I would like to just have the date next to the time of day. I found a little app called MagiCal. MagiCal is a free menu application that give you a plethora of option pertaining to date and time in the menu bar Like showing the date with the time, font sizes, calendar and much more. I soon fell madly in love with it and I have turned off Apples Time menu items and replaced it with MagiCal’s:

Check out this quick video of MagiCal’s features:
