No more need to use the FireFox plugin. Just add this link to your bookmarks bar.

Delicious

There are Delicious plug-ins available for FireFox & IE but not Safari. Delicious Safari is an excellent plug-in and lets you create and view Del.icio.us bookmarks from the Safari menu bar.

Twitter

There is a beautiful little plugin for Safari using Twitter’ers called Safari140 Making it simple clean and easy to tweet stories, videos and websites.

Simple clean bookmarklet for digg users. Pick yours up here.

Safari 4 Has some problems. We know this but at the same time Safari 4 offers us some more speed and flexibility. So rather than go back to previous versions here are 3 ways to bring back functionality from v3 but keep the speed and search-ability of v4.

2. Loading Bars & Circle When both set to NO it restores the blue loading bar behind the URL. Also puts a page loading spinner in the tab itself, which looks odd with the new tabs:

$ defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4LoadProgressStyle -bool NO

        3. Switch off the new URL autocomplete menu and go back to the original one

$ defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4IncludeFancyURLCompletionList -bool NO

4. Turn off the new Google suggest menu

$ defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4IncludeGoogleSuggest -bool NO

5. Remove CoverFlow from the Bookmarks view entirely        

$ defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4IncludeFlowViewInBookmarksView -bool NO

        6. Disable the dimming when clicking on a Top Site

$ defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4TopSitesZoomToPageAnimationDimsSnapshot -bool NO

7. Disable Top Sites feature completely

$ defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4IncludeTopSites -bool NO

8. Undoing changes Just run the defaults command with the delete flag for the appropriate key you wish to delete.

$ defaults delete com.apple.Safari <key>

With the latest Safari release there is a lot to love and hate about the Apples new browser. I wrote a post earlier on how to modify Safari 4 and bring back the lower tabs and some other features. Since then I have found another plugin called Saft that could change the way you serf (for the better of course)

Saft gives you the option to serf full screen with multiple different view options. This is huge for those who have a Mini hooked up to their TV and could use Safari for full screen usage.

Once other feature I love about Saft is the option to put new tabs to the right of the current one. That is one thing that drives me crazy when I open a page in a new tab and if I have multiple tabs open my new tab is all the way at the end but with this feature I can keep things more organized.

There are tons of other features that Saft has to offer so check it out the Saft 11.0 Beta for Safari 4. The full version is only $12.

After using Safari 4 for a couple days I have found a way to restore the lower tabs and better progress bar from the old Safari but keep the speed and better search capabilities of Safari 4. This can be easily done with a little app called Safari 4 Buddy. This application will reach into Safari and change some hidden settings. Giving you the power to:

• Put the tab bar on the bottom
• Restore progress bar rather than circular load indicator
• Not include fancy URL completion list
• Turn off Google suggest
• Turn off Flow View in bookmarks
• Turn off Top Sites zoom to page animation and dim snapshot
• Turn off Top Sites altogether
